Taproot Landscaping began in 2008. I began landscaping to learn more about ornamental plants but in doing so, opened a bigger, all encompassing door. Learning from and listening to the natural world in order to work with the landscape has become one of the greatest things I could ever hope to master in my life.
With a background in plant science from undergraduate work at UW Madison, I dove into commercial vegetable gardening and medicianl plants. I was lucky to then train under master landscaper Ron Peters in the βartβ of landscaping. He taught me more than he probably realizes and for that I am ever grateful.
I received accreditation as an Organic Land Care Professional from the Northeast Organic Farming Association, and earned a certificate in Ecological Restoration from the University of Minnesota. I am thankful for an amazing crew and feel that working outdoors, on gardens, in this beautiful environment, is truly living the good life.
